GliderMon terms of use
The GliderMon app for iPhone and Android · effective November 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Nestlight LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of GliderMon. By using the GliderMon app you agree to them. Our app privacy policy explains what the app keeps and what leaves your phone.
GliderMon is a game, not medical care
GliderMon is a companion game for people living with diabetes. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, or give medical advice. Always check with your doctor or care team about your diabetes, and follow their advice.
- Glucose readings in GliderMon come from Apple Health or Health Connect, can arrive hours late, and can be missing or wrong. GliderMon is not an alarm: never rely on it to warn you about a low or a high, and never make a treatment decision from it. Use your meter, your sensor's own app and your care team's plan for that.
- If you're in danger or feel unwell, call your local emergency number. The app's "Talk to someone" page lists some support services, but phone numbers and services can change, so if one doesn't work, call your local emergency number.
Who can use GliderMon
You must be 13 or older (16 in the UK and EU) to use GliderMon. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, please use it with a parent's or guardian's permission, and have them agree to these terms with you.
Your data lives on your phone
GliderMon has no accounts and keeps your game and health information on your device, as the privacy policy explains. That means we can't see, restore or move your data for you. If you delete the app, lose your phone or switch phones, some or all of it may be lost: your health information is never in phone backups, and "Export my data" makes a copy for you to keep, which can't be loaded back into the app.
GliderMon Plus
GliderMon is free to play. GliderMon Plus is an optional subscription with extra cosmetic and nest features.
- Plus is offered monthly or yearly. The price, and any free trial, is shown in the app and by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm. The yearly plan may start with a 7-day free trial; if you don't cancel before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and you're charged.
- Payment is taken by Apple or Google through your store account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Renewal is charged at the then-current price, which the store tells you about before any increase.
- You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and as the law where you live requires.
- A yearly plan bought at a price marked "Founding price" keeps that price for as long as that subscription stays active without a break, even if the yearly price goes up for new subscribers later.
- If Plus ends, your game carries on: what you made and collected stays yours, and Plus-only features and looks go back to the free ones until Plus is on again.
- Free Plus for anyone who can't afford it. Plus can be turned on for free in the app, with no questions asked, for three months at a time and renewable the same way. We may change or end this offer for future requests, but not for free Plus you already have.
Sponsor a glider
"Sponsor a glider" is an optional one-time purchase that supports GliderMon's development. It adds a lantern to your tree and has no other effect on the game. Like other store purchases it is handled by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies.
Acorns and in-game items
Acorns, cosmetics, furniture, Nestlings and other in-game items exist only in the game. They have no money value, can't be bought with real money, sold or exchanged, and we give you a personal license to use them in the game rather than ownership. We may rebalance prices, rewards and items to keep the game fair and fun, and an item can be retired from sale, but we won't take away items you already have unless the law requires it.
Updates and changes
We update GliderMon through the app stores and with small updates the app downloads itself. Updates can add, change or remove features and content. We may stop offering GliderMon one day; if we do, we'll say so in the app ahead of time where we can, and you can keep your own copy of your data with "Export my data".
Using GliderMon fairly
Please don't:
- copy, sell or redistribute the app or its art, or use them to make a competing product;
- reverse engineer the app except as the law allows, or tamper with it to get Plus or items you didn't get in the app;
- use the app to break the law or anyone's rights.
Ours and yours
GliderMon, its characters, art, music, writing and code are © Nestlight LLC. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the app store's rules. You're welcome to share photos and screenshots of your glider and nest for personal, non-commercial use, such as on social media.
What you put into the app, such as names, notes, journal entries and photos you take, stays yours. It stays on your phone, and we don't receive it.
Other services
GliderMon works with services we don't run: Apple Health and Health Connect, the App Store and Google Play, Apple's ARKit and Google Play Services for AR. Their own terms apply to them, and we aren't responsible for how they work. If you got GliderMon from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
No guarantees
We work hard to make GliderMon reliable and kind, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will always work, be free of errors, keep your data, or show readings that are complete, on time or correct. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Nestlight LLC isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or decisions made using the app, and our total liability for any claim about GliderMon is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending
You can stop using GliderMon at any time by deleting it (cancel any subscription in your store account first). We may end these terms for someone who seriously breaks them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms when the app or the law changes and show the new effective date here. Important changes will be announced in the app before they apply.
